The new designs for the Minnesota state flag and seal will be officially adopted and displayed at government buildings on Statehood Day on Saturday, May 11.
The estimated 120 state flags at the state Capitol complex will be among the first to be raised.
Local governments will be able to make the adjustment on their own time.
