New Poll Shows Majority of Minnesotans Demand Assault Weapons Ban
(Undated) – A new statewide poll shows 60 percent of Minnesota voters believe the state legislature should take immediate action to ban assault weapons. The poll was taken two weeks after the mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic School. Other numbers show 88 percent of Minnesotans are concerned about children being harmed in mass shootings, including 79 percent of Republicans. The survey was conducted by Everytown for Gun Safety and included 800 likely voters from Minnesota for the upcoming 2026 elections.
