New Ulm Man Hit by Train

A New Ulm man was injured when he was struck by a train Friday afternoon.

Police were called to 17th North and Minnesota Street just before 4:30 and found 25-year-old Joseph Daly had been hit by the train as he walked along the side of the tracks.

Police say he was wearing headphones and did  not hear or feel the train coming.

Daly was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center with possible internal injuries.
