NEW ULM POLICE INVESTIGATING SCAM

New Ulm police are investigating a report that a man had been scammed out of $16,000.  Police say the New Ulm man contacted them around 9:25 Sunday morning after he received an email saying that he should call his bank a compromised bank account.  The man was advised to drive to the Mankato Wells Fargo bank and send a wire transfer to a woman in League City, Texas.  Police told the man that the money is likely gone but the investigation is continuing.
