NEW ULM POLICE RESPOND TO DETOX INCIDENT

New Ulm Police were called to detox at 7:40 Sunday morning on the report of a 19-year-old Mankato man who escaped and got into a black Kia.  Police say officers stopped the Kia but the suspect wasn’t in it.  The driver, a 45-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for driving after cancellation.  Mankato Public Safety located the man who escaped from detox  and he was arrested and taken to the Blue Earth County Jail.  A report for escaped from custody charges against the Mankato man was sent to the Brown County attorney for charge consideration.
