NEW ULM PURPLE PLACES SECOND IN TRIPLE-A KNOWLEDGE BOWL
This is the first year that New Ulm competed in the Triple-A state Knowledge Bowl tournament after having success in Double-A. New Ulm proved they could compete with the big schools coming in second in the state to Edina. Edina is the defending Triple-A champion and Purple is the defending Double-A champion. Edina won state with 143.5 points, New Ulm came in second with 108.5. Sartell-St. Stephen was third with 106 followed by Benilde-St. Margarets and Chaska. MVL competed in the Double-A tournament and MVL Black placed 5th and Blue placed 10th.
