NEW ULM SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES RENAMING HIGH SCHOOL GYM

The New Ulm School Board unanimously approved a contract with Allina Health to rename the High School gym as Allina Health Gymnasium.  The contract will grant naming rights in exchange for in-kind athletic trainer fees.  New Ulm Medical Center’s Sports Medicine and Orthopedics Team has provided athletic training services to the school which had been offered for free but with increasing financial pressures, New Ulm Medical Center asked the school to pay a percentage of the fee.  The school and Allina Health reached a tentative agreement in April to reduce the athletic training service costs through naming rights.  Allina Health Gymnasium graphics would be installed on each side of the gym floor.
