NICOLLET SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES SEEKING VOTER REFERENDUM

The Nicollet School Board  has approved a motion to  proceed with a voter referendum to approve a $288,000 operation levy and a $7.6-million capital bond.  Superintendent Robin Courrier will now submit the proposal to the Minnesota Education Commissioner for approval.  Nicollet will ask voters to approve two ballot questions – one is the operating levy referendum request, two is the school building bond request.  Question two is contingent on approval of question one.  If the referendum passes, construction will start in the spring and last over two years.  Expected completion will be the fall of 2027.  The questions will appear on the ballot on November 4.
