Norman County Deputy Seriously Injured While Checking On A Dog
An off-duty Norman County Deputy was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle while checking on a dog that had just been hit by a different vehicle.
The Norman County Sheriff’s Office says the dog was struck by a car just before 11 p.m. Thursday along County Highway 29, about 9 miles east of Twin Valley. 41-year-old Christopher Lee was crossing the highway to tend to the injured dog when he was struck by an SUV. Lee was seriously injured and flown to a Fargo hospital. The drivers of both vehicles, 34 year old Dalton Moore, and Jaidan Bartz, 21, both from Twin Valley, stayed on scene and provided aid until first responders arrived.
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crashes.
