NORTH MANKATO HOUSE FIRE NOW FATAL

One of the people hospitalized after a house fire in North Mankato Friday has died.  Authorities say 12-year-old Autumn R. Paulson died of her injuries.  Her mother, 41-year-old, Stefanie Scharbach was treated for smoke inhalation and released.  The fire at 524 Lyndale Avenue is still being investigated but officials believe it was accidental.   The owner of the home Bridgette Rasmussen told authorities she left for work at 5 am and returned at 5:40 after learning of the fire.    She said there were also animals in the house and authorities confirm that two dogs died.  It is not known whether smoke alarms were working properly.
