NUMC CLOSING RETAIL OPTICAL SHOP

The New Ulm Medical Center has announced that it is going to close its retail Optical Shop due to ongoing staffing challenges.  A statement from Katie Slette, director of Regional Clinic Operations says that the facility will continue to offer full ophthalmology services including eye exams and eye procedures, but the retail shop will close.  Slette made reference to trusted retail optical businesses in New Ulm where you can go for glasses or contacts.  If you need to access your medical records to order and purchases eyeglasses out of the facility, you can access your medical records by going to your Allina Health account or calling the Health Information Management department.  The closure goes into effect Friday, June 28 at noon.
