Ohio State and Texas move on in College Football Playoff

(Pasadena, CA) — The Ohio State Buckeyes are advancing to the College Football Playoff semifinals. Ohio State defeated Oregon 41-21 in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl. The Buckeyes are now set to face-off against the Texas Longhorns for a spot in the National Championship Game.

(Atlanta, GA) — Texas is moving on in the College Football Playoff after surviving a double-overtime thriller against Arizona State in the Peach Bowl. Quinn Ewers connected with Gunnar Helm on a 25-yard touchdown pass to push the Number-5 Longhorns past the fourth-ranked Sun Devils 39-31 from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Texas will play in the Cotton Bowl for the C-F-P Semifinal Round on January 10th.

(New Orleans, LA) — Officials say the Sugar Bowl game between Georgia and Notre Dame in New Orleans will kick off Thursday at 3 P-M. The college football playoff game was postponed after at least 15 people were killed and dozens more injured when a man drove a pickup truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street early Wednesday morning. Georgia’s president confirmed a student was injured in the attack. Democratic Representative Troy Carter from Louisiana said the decision to postpone the game was not done lightly. He added it was done with one single thing in mind — public safety.
