Oklee Woman injured In Semi Collision

An Oklee area woman was injured over the weekend during an accident involving a semi in Pennington County. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Cassandra Jean Vettleson (33) was injured when the northbound 2017 Ford Explorer she was driving collided with a westbound 2014 Volvo VNL Semi on Highway 32 at Center Street East. 

Vettleson was taken to Sanford Thief River Falls and treated for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. The driver of the semi, Kenneth Andrew Nye (35) of Moorhead, suffered no apparent injury. 

According to the State Patrol report, both drivers were wearing seat-belts at the time of the accident reported Friday just after 3:30pm. 

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
