One Dead in Crash in Cottonwood County

A two-vehicle crash in southwest Minnesota has claimed a man’s life. The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened Monday at the intersection of Highways 30 and 71 in Cottonwood county.

Troopers say 54-year-old Scott Burdorf of Montevideo, Minnesota was driving southbound and 81-year-old Jerry Evers of Comfrey, Minnesota, was driving westbound when the two collided.

Evers died in the crash; Burdorf was taken to the Windom hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
