ONE HURT IN SCOOTER VS VEHICLE CRASH

A Winthrop woman was hurt when the mobility scooter she was driving collided with a Ford Escape Tuesday afternoon at Highway 19 and Main Street in Winthrop.  The state patrol was called at 2:38 and found the scooter driven by 53-year-old Amy Swanson of Winthrop and a Ford Escape driven by  33-year-old Jessica Hertzog of Janesville had collided.  Swanson was taken to the New Ulm Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  Hertzog wasn’t hurt.  Winthrop police and ambulance and the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
