ONE IN CUSTODY FOLLOWING FATAL STABBING IN MANKATO

One person is in custody after a fatal stabbing at Kwik Trip on Madison Avenue in Mankato this (Tuesday) morning.  Mankato police say they were called to a disturbance around 3 am and found an unresponsive employee lying on the floor with a knife wound.  He was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System where he was pronounced dead.  Police reviewed surveillance footage and identified a 28-year-old suspect who was taken into custody a short time later at his home.  The Mankato Department of Public Safety and the Bureau of Criminal  Apprehension are investigating.  No names have been released and more details will be released as they become available.
