One Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Kandiyohi County

One driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Kandiyohi County Thursday about 3 miles south of Sunburg.

The Sheriff’s Office says a 58-year-old St. Paul man was taken to Benson Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office says he was westbound on County Road 40 when he failed to yield for a stop sign at County Road 7. The car struck a northbound Jennie-O semi-tractor trailer at the rear trailer axle.

The driver of the semi, a 24-year-old Willmar man, was not injured.

Names were not released.

The crash happened just before 5pm.
