O’Neill named as Pro Bowl Replacement
(Eagan, MN) — Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Brian O’Neill has been named to the 2025 N-F-L Pro Bowl Games, replacing Lane Johnson of the Philadelphia Eagles, who is unable to participate due to the Super Bowl. It marks O’Neill’s second career Pro Bowl selection, appearing in his first Pro Bowl following the 2021 season. O’Neill, who was voted a team captain for the fourth time in his career in 2024, started all 17 games for the Vikings this season and started the team’s Wild Card matchup against the Los Angeles Rams in Arizona. He played 1,100 offensive snaps during the regular season, the fifth-most snaps played among all tackles in the N-F-L, and he started his 100th career game in Week 12 at Chicago. O’Neill is the seventh Viking slated to participate in this year’s Pro Bowl Games, joining quarterback Sam Darnold, long snapper Andrew DePaola, linebacker Jonathan Greenard, receiver Justin Jefferson, cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. and linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel, and he is the 17th Pro Bowl selection under Vikings Head Coach Kevin O’Connell.
