On October 24, 1952, Orville was united in marriage to Dorothy Bruesehoff at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Isle. Their union was blessed with four children. In addition to being a husband and father, Orville provided for his family by farming and driving truck – specifically milk truck, livestock, and sweetcorn for 35 years and then concrete for 38 years. In his free time, Orville was active with the Shady Lane Sportsman Club, High Island Conservation Club, and Immanuel Lutheran Church where he served as trustee and memorial/benevolence treasurer. He also enjoyed listening and dancing to old time music, social hour, taking care of his barn cats, and spending time with his many grandchildren. Orville will be dearly missed. Blessed be his memory.
