Patriots Defeat Vikings On Saturday
The Vikings sputtered their way to a 20-12 loss to the Patriots in Preseason Game #2 on Saturday afternoon at U.S. Bank Stadium. Vikings kicker Will Reichard accounted for all the points for Minnesota with four field goals from 34, 54, 47 and 27 yards out. Sam Howell got the start at quarterback and completed just one throw on five attempts for 13 yards and also throwing an interception. Brett Rypien came in and finished the first half going 7-for-11 for 83 yards. Max Brosmer played the second half and threw for 156 yards and a pick on the final play of the game from the 13 yard line. Viking Coach Kevin O’Connell recaps the loss to New England.
Minnesota is now 1-1 on the preseason schedule and are at Tennessee next Friday at 7 P-M. The Vikings open the regular season on September 8th in Chicago.
