Pearl M. Behrens

Pearl M. Behrens, age 89 of Wheaton, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton, Minnesota.

Visitation for Pearl Behrens will be held Monday, December 22, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. until  at 2:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, MN.

Funeral services for Pearl M. Behrens will be at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, MN, with Rev. Dan Gifford officiating.

Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Dumont, MN.

Pearl Marion Behrens was born on September 13, 1936 to Ehrhardt and Bertha (Deschner) Rusch in Wheaton, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton. Pearl grew up on a farm just south of Wheaton and attended school in Lake Valley Township through the eighth grade. She then attended and graduated from Wheaton High School in 1954. After graduation she worked as a teller at the State Bank of Wheaton until she was married to Leroy Behrens on December 13, 1958 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton. Together the couple were blessed with four children. The couple lived and farmed in Dollymount Township until 1990 when they moved to Wheaton.

Pearl enjoyed gardening, time spent at the lake with her family, and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent many hours doing crafts and art projects. Her children and grandchildren have many samples of her work to remember her by.

Pearl is survived by her children: LeAnn (Pat) Peyton of Dumont, MN, Gary (DeAnn) Behrens of Wheaton, MN, Wendy Silbernick of Alexandria, MN, and Rick (Akane) Behrens of Royale Oak, Michigan; eight grandchildren: Dean (Caurisa) Peyton of Wheaton, MN, Dustin (Jana) Peyton of Wheaton, MN, Carly (Cody) Schultz of Wheaton, MN, Stephanie (Tyler) Berg of Amenia, North Dakota, Garrett (Paige) Behrens of Wheaton, MN, Carter Behrens of Watertown, South Dakota, Ryan (Melody) Silbernick of Alexandria, MN, and Akina Behrens of Queens, New York; great twelve grandchildren: Mallory, Nora and Sadie Peyton; Wade, Rae, Clint and Dottie Schultz; Warren and Della Berg; Sophia Behrens; Adrian and Chloe Silbernick; and sisters-in-law: Betty Rusch and Delores Thompson.

Pearl is preceded in death by her husband: Leroy; parents Ehrhardt and Bertha; infant son Steven; brothers: Leonard, Cecil, Gerald, Eldon, Danny, and Orville.
