Peterson earns MCAC accolades

Northland Community and Technical College guard Josie Peterson earned the MCAC North Division Women’s Basketball Athlete-of-the-Week award.

The Thief River Falls native scored 37 points, shooting 48% from the field and 50% from behind the three-point arc, to help the Pioneers win the MCAC North Division title.

She scored an average of 18.5 points per game in two wins this week. In 61 minutes of court time, Peterson also secured eight rebounds, had eight assists, and stole four balls.
