POLICE CALLED TO REPORTED PHYSICAL ALTERCATION AT SMOKES PLUS

New Ulm Police are investigating after being called to a physical altercation report at Smokes Plus Wednesday evening around 7:40 pm.  Police say a 44-year-old homeless man in a pickup denied any altercation but police say they learned about an assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic assault in North Mankato.  A 46-year-old homeless woman told police the man had choked her the day before in North Mankato.  The man was arrested and taken to the Brown County Jail and a report was sent to the North Mankato Police Department.  The man was also issued a trespass notice by Smokes Plus.
