POLICE INVESTIGATING ATTEMPTED DRUG SMUGGLING INTO EVALUATION CENTER

New Ulm Police are investigating after receiving a report from the Brown County Evaluation Center Sunday of a patient who ordered food from McDonald’s via Door Dash.  Evaluation Center staff examined the order and found a clear, plastic  bag with what appeared to be methamphetamine between the burger and a bun.  The 36-year-old Redwood Falls woman admitted to requesting the illegal drugs be hidden in her order.  She told authorities she knew the delivery driver, a 44-year-old man from Wabasso.  Police contacted the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office who is assisting in the investigation.  A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s office and the Minnesota Department of Correction probation department.
