PORTION OF HIGHWAY 111 NEAR NICOLLET SHUT DOWN THURSDAY FOR REPORTED CAR FIRE

A portion of Highway 111 was shut down for a short time Thursday afternoon for a reported car fire near Dollar General in Nicollet.  Fire officials responded at 5:05 pm and found heavy smoke and some flames coming from the vehicle.  Reports say three people were able to get out of the vehicle.  No injuries were reported and the Nicollet Fire Department was able to clear the scene by around 5:40 pm.  No other details have been released.
