PRINCESS KAY OF THE MILKY WAY CROWNED TO BE TONIGHT (WEDNESDAY)
The 72nd Princess Kay of the Milky Way will be crowned tonight (Wednesday) on the Leinie Lodge Bandshell stage on the state fairgrounds. Ten finalists are up for the crown including Lauren Steffl of Brown County. She is the daughter of Tim Steffl and Leah Sandbo and will be a senior at South Dakota State University majoring in Agricultural Business and is an intern at AMPI. Another finalist is Alexis Hoefs of Le Sueur County. She is the daughter of James and Lisa Hoefs and attends the U of M Twin Cities studying Animal Science. Also Paige Frenchik of Meeker County the daughter of Josh Frenchik and Melissa Tessmer. She is a biology major at the U of M Twin Cities. Other finalists include Natalie Clemenson of Goodhue County, Monica Evers of Wabasha County, Nicole Hauschild of Wabasha County, April Klaphake of Stearns County, Heidi Montag of Benton County, Malorie Thorson of Wright County and Haylie Wielenberg of Todd County.
