Race Track Improvements

The River Valley BMX track is undergoing improvements to make the track better and safer. Volunteers began track demolition last weekend and continued this past weekend. Once complete, the rebuilding process begins which includes widening the starting gate, widening the corners, wider jumps and a wider finish line. The estimated finish date should be in October, with the finer details finished next spring. The total cost of the improvements will be close to $200,000. The New Ulm City Council already approved a $100,000 interest free loan with a 15 year payback. The River Valley BMX association will cover the rest with donations, fundraising and operation revenue.
