Ramona was born April 30, 1966 in New Prague to Raphael Thomas and Eva
Eleanor (Kabes) Malecha. She was raised in rural Madison Lake and was active in
4H and the Girl Scouts. During this time, she also found her love for antiques,
thrifting, auctions, and crafting by spending her time with her grandma Helen
Kabes. After high school, she attended culinary school in California. Ramona was
united in marriage to David Marxen in December 1987 and they were blessed with
4 children. They later divorced; she enjoyed spending time as a single mother
taking the kids on camping and road trips. Later she added her 5th child, rounding
out her perfect family. Drawing on her earlier found love of antiques and flea
markets, lead to her career; opening many trinket stores and re-selling all the
bargains she discovered. After her kids were grown, she focused on managing
Wendy's in Mankato and finished in Owatonna. She enjoyed crafting, hatching
eggs, gardening, canning, and sewing. She also stayed busy helping at the church
as well as caring for her parents as they aged. She will be remembered as a very
caring, selfless person, who was always helping those who didn’t know they may
need help.
Left to remember Ramona are her children: Kandise Marxen, Sara Marxen, David
(Hannah) Marxen, Alex (Heidi) Marxen, and Jasmin Malecha; grandchildren:
Alycia, Evianna, Isiah, Demond Jr, Devonte, Dawayne, Josiah "Mason", Zariah,
JayLynn "Harper", Jerry "Everett", Alex, and Roman; great-granddaughter
Mialani; brothers: Norman (Renee), Wayne, and Nathan; and many other relatives
and friends.
In Heaven she joined her parents Raphael
