Rangers snap skid, beat Twins
(Arlington, TX/Minnesota News Network) — The Texas Rangers snapped their eight-game losing streak with a 4-2 win over the Minnesota Twins in Texas last night. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the seventh before Billy McKinney hit a go-ahead single to spark a three-run inning. Josh Smith homered in the victory, while Robert Garcia picked up his fourth win in relief. The Rangers are in third place in the A-L West at 80-78. Byron Buxton went deep in the losing effort, and Travis Adams was charged with his fourth loss in relief. The Twins have lost 90 games for the first time since 2016. The rubber match of the three-game series begins today at 1:35 P-M.
