REAL ID DEADLINE WEDNESDAY

The deadline for a Real ID driver’s license in Minnesota is tomorrow (Wednesday).  If you want to fly domestically, you will need a Real ID, a passport or a passport card to be allowed on a plane.

Real IDs are for flying or to enter  secure federal facilities like military facilities or federal courthouses.  To get a Real ID you will need to provide documentation proving your identity, Social Security number and two documents proving your Minnesota residency. The DPS also days if residents had a name change, they will need to show proof of each name change.
