Record crowd expected for Grandma’s Marathon this weekend
(Duluth, MN/Minnesota News Network) — Organizers are expecting this weekend’s Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth to be the biggest ever. Grandma’s spokesperson Zach Schneider says they had record registration with nearly 23-thousand people signed up for various race events. He says that includes about ten-thousand marathon runners. Schneider says there were 17-thousand-500 finishers in the three races last year. A recent study found each Grandma’s Marathon participant brings two people with them.
