RED FLAG WARNING FOR SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA COUNTIES
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for several counties in southwest Minnesota today (Friday) from noon through 8 pm due to extreme fire risk conditions. The counties affected are Cottonwood, Jackson, Nobles, Murray, Pipestone and Rock. A Red Flag Warning means fires can spread quickly and grow out of control under the predicted weather conditions which are strong winds and low humidity levels. You should not burn if you are in a county with a Red Flag Warning. Red Flag Warnings are evolving situations and you can stay updated at weather.gov.
