Red Flag Warning Issued For Northeastern and Northcentral MN
A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the northeastern part of the listening area.
The Red Flag Warning is in effect until 9 p.m. due to extreme fire risk conditions resulting from relative humidity dropping down to 15-22 percent and east winds gusting up to 25-40 miles per hour.
Affected counties include Beltrami, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, Lake of the Woods, and St. Louis.
The DNR will not issue or activate open burning permits for large vegetative debris burning during the Red Flag Warning, and campfires are discouraged.
