Results From 06/07

Champions were crowned on the Girl’s floor, Division 3 NCAA Basketball for Women and Men got underway and State Hockey reaches Championship Saturday.

Section Girl’s Basketball:

Section 2A champion was crown Friday night, St Mary’s came from behind and then held off the BOLD Warriors to escape with a 57 to 54 win, Morgan Mathiowetz hit two free throws late, Lainey Braulick’s last second shot missed, the KNight’s are headed to the State Tournament next week.

Section 2AA Champion is NRHEG. The  Panthers edge Glencoe/Silver Lake 66 to 64 to advance to next weeks State Double A Tournament.

State Boy’s Hockey:

Class A Championship game is this afternoon at noon when St Cloud Cathedral takes on East Grand Forks. The Double A championship tonight at 7pm will feature Stillwater and Moorhead.

Division 3 NCCA Basketball:

The Gustie Women force overtime and then outscored Wisconsin Lutheran to pick up a 61 to 49 first round win. Gustavus will now play Wartburg tonight at 7:30pm, Wartburg was a 57 to 56 winner over Wisconsin/Stevens Point.

The St John’s men opens up the tourney with a 72 to 71 win over U of Chicago to advance to the second round. The Johnnies will play Illinois Wesleyen tonight at 6:30pm. Wesleyen eliminated Bethany Lutheran with a big 101 to 67 win.
