Richard Karl Greiner was born to Walter and Gladys (Bye) Greiner on September 25, 1963, in Morris, Minnesota. He was raised in Horton Township, Stevens County, Minnesota, until 1976, when he moved with his family to rural Morris. The whole family continued to live together, and in 2008, they moved to their new home on the same farm place. Under the care of his youngest sister, Ilene, Richard was able to continue living at home until the last two weeks when illness took him to Sanford Health Broadway Hospital in Fargo where he received the best of care available. He communicated and joked with his caregivers at the hospital right up to the end.

Richard was a jokester and the life of the party. He loved Donnie’s fish fries, watching baseball, weekly bowling outings on Saturdays, going to Good Life, the brat stand at Willie’s, going to Monroe Chiropractic, and crushing cans and sorting newspapers with the DAC. He worked for over 40 years with the DAC which was like a second family to him.

He is survived by siblings: Joyce Greiner, Robert Greiner, and Ilene Greiner all of Morris, MN; along with many cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Terry and James Greiner and other relatives.

Arrangements are with Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN.
