Robert “Bob” Herrley

Robert “Bob” Herrley, age 78 of Le Sueur, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 7, 2024. Visitation will be Monday, April 15, 2024 from 4-7 P.M. at Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 11 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Le Sueur, with a one hour visitation prior to the service, starting at 10 A.M. Interment will be in Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur.

Robert was born on July 7, 1945 in Mankato, Minnesota to Robert and Georgette (Headman) Herrley. He grew up in the Mankato area and graduated from Mankato High School in 1964. Robert joined the Navy shortly after high school where he served with his brothers. In his career, he spent much of his time as a printing press operator before becoming a realtor. After retiring, he continued to work until he was unable to, due to health issues.

He married Mary Tish at St. Peter & Paul’s church in Mankato on August 21, 1971. They moved to Le Sueur in 1973 and bought their first home in 1977 where they raised their three children. Robert enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bowling, horseshoes, camping, traveling, and meeting with the guys for coffee. He also never lost his love for Disney movies.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of Le Sueur, children, Jeff (Angela) Herrley of Nicollet, MN, Kim (Paul) DeGroot of Waseca, MN and Patrick (Megan) Herrley of Grand Prairie, TX; 7 grandchildren, Jordan, Katelyn (Justin McConnel), Emma, Lexi, Forrest, Paul, and Jaden, and one great-grandson, Wyatt, and sisters in-law, Becky, Rolayne, and Barb Herrley. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Jack, Jerry, and Ron Herrley, and Bahram Nikrad. Special thanks to Alina Hospice for the care received in the preceding months.
