Rossi has two goals, Wild net season-high three power-play goals to beat Nashville 5-3

ST. PAUL, MN – Marco Rossi netted two goals and added an assist, leading the Minnesota Wild to a 5-3 victory over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night. The Wild capitalized on their power play, scoring a season-high three goals with the man advantage. Mats Zuccarello, Jonas Brodin, and Declan Chisholm also found the net for Minnesota, which secured its third win in four games. Joel Eriksson Ek contributed two assists, and Filip Gustavsson had a standout performance, making a season-best 43 saves while also adding an assist.

Nashville saw goals from Colton Sissons, Jonathan Marchessault, and Ryan O’Reilly, but despite firing a season-high 46 shots, they fell short. Justus Annunen was busy in goal, stopping 33 of Minnesota’s attempts.

Rossi’s power-play goal in the third period gave the Wild a 5-3 lead. Zuccarello and Chisholm had earlier scored in the second period, helping Minnesota finish 3 for 6 on the power play. The Wild had struggled on special teams recently, going 0 for 13 over their last five games and 1 for 17 in their previous eight. Nashville’s penalty kill, which entered the game ranked first in the NHL with an 85.7% efficiency rate, couldn’t stop Minnesota’s surge.

Next up, Nashville will face Vancouver on Friday, while Minnesota heads to Washington on Thursday.
