Rural Thief River Falls Woman arrested for attempted murder

A rural Thief River Falls woman faces charges following a weekend disturbance at a rural residence.   The following is the official press release from Pennington County Sheriff Seth Vettleson –

July 22, 2025

In the morning hours of July 20th, 2025, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of injuries to a juvenile in Silverton Township.   Deputies from Pennington County and Officers from the Thief River Falls Police Departments responded to the rural residence.  The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.  The suspect, Edwina Marie Stoutenburgh, age 34, was arrested for Attempted 2nd degree Murder and 2nd Degree Assault.  The investigation into the incident continues.
