Ruth V. Seaver

Ruth V. Seaver, age 87 of Le Sueur left us on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, MN. to be with her personal Savior, Jesus Christ. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 11 A.M. at Word of Life Church in Le Sueur, MN. Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. the morning of the service at the church. Interment will be in Mound Cemetery in Le Sueur. Luncheon to follow the interment at the church.

Ruth was born on August 19, 1936 in Saint James, Minnesota to Arthur and Viola (Galland) Grimstad. She grew up in Benson, Minnesota and graduated from Benson High School in 1954. She attended Augsburg College and graduated from Lutheran Deaconess Hospital, Minneapolis, MN to become an R.N.

She married Dean C. Seaver on December 27, 1958 in Minneapolis. They raised their family in the Minneapolis area, Bismarck, ND, Duluth, MN, until they moved to Le Sueur in 1975. Ruth was a homemaker, and a charter member of the Word of Life Church in Le Sueur, enjoyed time with her family and was an accomplished flutist. Ruth is survived by her children; Dean (Linda) Seaver of Le Sueur, Larry (Ellen) Seaver of Le Sueur, Curt (Amber) Seaver of Cleveland, MN, and Alison Stevenson of Mound, MN; 14 Grandchildren; 18 Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Judy (Tom) Ebright of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dean (2010), parents, in-laws and brother, Jason Grimstad.
