Rydell National Wildlife Refuge Night Hike Coming In June

Friends of Rydell and Glacial Ridge Refuges Association are hosting a night hike next week at the National Wildlife Refuge in Erskine.

Staff from Rydell Refuge will be on hand to answer questions during the June 11th hike, which is scheduled for 9:15pm. This is a free event. Since visitation normally ends at sunset, this is a unique opportunity to experience a Rydell Refuge after-dark adventure. Visitors can expect a firsthand experience of the wetlands, woods, and prairies when they come alive with the sounds of the night. The event starts at the Visitor Center with a brief introduction. Expect a star gazing opportunity if the sky is clear.

A news release from Rydell Refuge says the event will be rescheduled if there is rain or if winds reach 20 miles per hour.

No registration is required but if you have any questions, call Rydell Refuge at 218-686-4329.
