Boy’s Basketball:
Big South finals-New Ulm picks up a big 84 to 74 road win over Marshall, St Peter wins big over Tri City United 89 to 24, St James defeats Redwood Valley 78 to 70 and Fairmont was a 58 to 46 winner over Luverne. Tomahawk finals-Springfield takes it Cathedral 90 to 30, St Mary’s wins the crosstown matchup 64 to 52 over Sleepy Eye, Lester Prairie was an 88 to 54 winner over BLHS and the game on SAM saw Wabasso defeat GFW 82 to 48. Nicollet wins a section game over Cedar Mountain 89 to 59.
Girl’s basketball:
Big South finals-St peter defeats Tri City United 75 to 54, St James was a 66 to 27 winner over Redwood Valley, Fairmont defeats Luverne 63 to 26. Tomahawk Finals-Cathedral wins third straight defeating Springfield 60 to 53, BLHS was a 70 to 43 winner over Lester Prairie. South Central scores-MVL picks up an 86 to 79 road win over St Clair, LCWM does the same over Sibley East 68 to 54, as did Maple River over Lesueur/Henderson 59 to 34. Valley finals-Martin county West defeats Madelia 69 to 33, GHECML/Truman was a 67 to 42 winner over Cleveland. Down in the Red Rock-Murray County Central defeats Red Rock Central 62 to 32, Westbrook/Walnut Grove was a 58 to 48 winner over Edgerton and Adrian/Ellsworth defeats Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey 54 to 51.
Wrestling:
St James/Madelia picks up a pair of wins over LCWM Area 42 to 34 and Hutchinson 52 to 21, Windom/Mt Lake defeats LCWM Area 30 to 27, Martin County defeats Luverne 47 to 28, Minneota defeast Fulda/Murray County Central 58 to 10 and Redwood Valley 59 to 5 and Redwood Valley was a 47 35 to 34 winner over Fulda/Murray County Central. Other Finals-Maple River defeats Waseca 43 to 21 and Lesueur/Henderson was a 45 to 23 winner over Waseca.
Boy’s Hockey:
NewUlm fell behind 2 to 0, then scores seven straight goals in route to a 12 to 3 win over Marshall. Brody Nordby, Hunter Larson and Carson Uecker each had hat tricks, Wasewca picks up a 4 to 2 win over Minnesota River and Redwood Valley defeats Fairmont 7 to 4.
Girl’s Hockey:
Marshal defeats New Ulm 9 to 1, Minnesota River shuts out South Central 7 to 0 and Luverne picks up a 7 to 4 win over Albert Lea.
Gymnastics:
New Ulm was a 134.225 to 126.725 winner over Luverne.
Women’s Hockey:
UW/River Falls defeats Gustavus for the second time this year, 5 to 0.
