3A quarterfinal results-New Ulm shuts out Worthington 8 to 0, Luverne pounds MBA Storm 15 to 0 and Fairmont defeats Windom 12 to 2.
2A quarterfinal results-Hutchinson defeats Mankato West 5 to 2, Minnesota River was a 3 to 1 winner over Willmar and River Lakes was a 3 to 1 winner over Litchfield/Dassel/Cokato.
Boy’s Hockey:
Minnesota River wins big over Windom 10 to 1, as did Waseca over Fairmont 24 to 0 and Marshall over Worthington 8 to 1.
Wrestling:
Big South champion is New Ulm, the Eagles defeat Jackson County Central 39 to 20. Mankato East wins a pair over St Peter 33 to 29 and Mound/Westonka 54 to 14, Waseca defeats St James/Madelia 48 to 29 and Adrian/Ellsworth was a 35 to 32 winner over Waseca, Red Rock Central wins a duel over Springfield 38 to 30. BOLD drops three last night, losing Glencoe/Silver Lake 38 to 27, Bertha Hewitt 51 to 24 and ACGC 47 to 21, Sibley East drops a pair to Tri City United 58 to 12 and Delano 53 to 10 and Minneota wins a pair over Windom/Mountain Lake 57 to 9 and Pipestone 53 to 14.
Girl’s Basketball:
Marshal comes to New Ulm and defeats the Eagles 85 to 45, Fairmont defeats St James 58 to 50. Tomahawk finals-Cedar Mountain defeats Cathedral 67 to 35, Sleepy Eye was a 69 to 28 winner over GFW, St Mary’s defeats Lester Prairie 75 to 28. South Central-St Clair defeats MVL 62 to 36, LCWM was a 60 to 48 winner over Sibley East and Maple River defeats Lesueur/Henderson 59 to 36. Nicollet wins a conference game over Alden/Conger/Glenville/Emmons 72 to 53, Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey wins a section game over Madelia 80 to 44 and Randolph defeats Cleveland 72 to 56.
