Big South Finals-Fairmont comes to New Ulm and defeats the Eagles 59 to 49, Marshall traveled to St Peter to defeat the Saints 62 to 56, Luverne defeats St James 63 to 54 and Blue Earth was an 82 to 63 winner over Redwood Valley. Tomahawk scores-Cedar Mountain defeats Cathedral 65 to 45, Sleepy Eye edges GFW 72 to 70, Lester Prairie defeats St Mary’s 66 to 61 and Springfield wins big over BLHS 86 to 48. South Central finals-MVL used a big second half to defeat Sibley East 76 to 44, Owen Birkholz hit seven three’s, scoring 27 points and Lesueur/Henderson was an 82 to 71 winner over St Clair. Morris area defeats LCWM 82 to 65, Wabasso defeats Benson 99 to 60, Madelia picks up a conference win over Alden/Conger/Glenville/Emmons 90 to 51 and Westbrook/Walnut Grove defeats Adrian/Ellsworth 69 to 44.

Girl’s Basketball:

Delano defeats the visiting New Ulm Eagles 71 to 59 and Fairmont was a 67 to 30 winner over GHECML/Truman. Big South finals-Marshal wins big over St Peter 84 to 41, St James holds off Luverne 65 to 58 and Blue Earth was a 63 to 29 winner over Redwood Valley. St Mary’s picks up a section win over Martin County West 78 to 27, Wabasso picks up a road win over Cleveland  61 to 54 and BLHS defeats Springfield 69 to 59. MVL defeats Sibley East 60 to 47 and Morris Area was a 65 to 62 winner over BOLD. Red Rock Finals-Heron Lake/Okabena/Fulda defeats Red Rock Central 76 to 30, Adrian/Ellsworth was a 69 to 48 winner over Westbrook/Walnut Grove and Murray County Central defeats Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey 69 to 48.

Wrestling:

New Ulm remains unbeaten with a Pair wins over Holdingford 38 to 20 and 58 to 8 over Belgrade/Brooten/Elrosa. Jackson County Central wins a pair over Fulda/Murray County Central 46 to 23 and 50 to 21 over Martin County, Martin County was a 35 to 31 winner over TMB/WWG. Boy’s Hockey:

College Wrestling:

Golden Gopher wrestling lost at Rutgers on Friday night, 23-15. Minnesota drops to 9-5 overall and 3-3 in the conference, and they see their five-match road winning streak come to an end.
