Boy’s Basketball:

Big South Finals-Belle Plaine edges St Peter 90 to 89, Redwood Valley was a 95 to 82, Fairmont sneaks past Pipestone 52 to 50 and Morris Area defeats Marshall 62 to 55. Tomahawk Finals-GFW was a 64 to 41 winner over Cathedral, the game on SAM, Springfield made a number of three’s to defeat Sleepy Eye 91 to 52, Cedar Mountain was a 92 to 90 winner over Wabasso and St Mary’s was an 84 to 33 winner over BLHS. Non-conference finals-Jan/Wal/Pem defeats MVL 70 to 50, Lesueur/Henderson picks up a 65 to 56 decision over SW Christian and Nicollet was a 75 to 41 winner over Medford. Red Rock Finals-Westbrook/Walnut Grove was a 72 to 38 winner over Heron Lake/Okabena/Fulda and RTR was a 71 to 53 winner over Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey.

Girl’s Basketball:

New Ulm hands New London/Spicer their first loss of the season, with an 82 to 79 overtime win, Belle Plaine defeats St Peter 73 to 71, Redwood Valley defeats Blue Earth 76 to 44 and Fairmont was a 73 to 50 winner over Pipestone. Tomahawk finals-Cedar Mountain defeats Wabasso 76 to 49. South Central results-St Clair holds off MVL 56 to 46 and LCWM defeats Sibley East 53 to 46. Non-league finals-Westbrook/Walnut Grove was a44 to 40 winner over YME, West Central defeats BOLD 53 to 43 and Nicollet defeats Mountain Lake/Comfrey 76 to 31.

Boy’s Hockey;

Gentry Academy defeats New Ulm 6 to 1 and Marshall shuts out Worthington 11 to 0.

Section Girl’s Hockey:

Marshall is the 3A champion! the Tigers defeats Luverne 5 to 2 advancing to next weeks State Tournament.
