Section 3A Boy’s Hockey:

Mason Buegler scores with 38 seconds to play lifting New Ulm to a 2 to 1 win over Minnesota River, Luverne thumps Windom 11 to 0, as did Mankato West over Fairmont 13 to 0 and Mankato East defeats Marshall 10 to 0. Semi’s are Saturday night at Gustavus.

Boy’s Basketball:

Fairmont wins a conference match up over St peter 74 to 63, St James a non league win over GHECML/Truman 80 to 63, Madelia gets a section win over St Mary’s 72 to 62, Central Minnesota Christian gets a big win over Springfield 81 to 59, Cedar Mountain defeats Heron Lake/Okabena/Fulda 66 to 58, GFW defeats Martin County West 67 to 49, Lesueur/Henderson was a 70 to 53 winner over Tri City United, LCWM defeats St Clair 92 to 58, Nicollet has five players score in double figures during a 100 to 68 win over Medford and Mayer Lutheran picks up a section win ove Cleveland 79 to 70.

Girl’s Basketball:

St Mary’s picks up a section win over NRHEG 85 to 71, Southwest Christian defeats LCWM 85 to 45, St Clair defeats GHECML/Truman 80 to 45, Byron defeats St Peter 80 to 36 and Marshall  gets a non league win over TEA Area 70 to 42. Section 3A play in games-Wabasso defeats Renville County West 48 to 42, Yellow Medicine East defeats LQPV 68 to 56, Tracy/Milroy/Balaton defeats Southwest Minnesota Christian 47 to 39 and Heron Lake/Okabena/Fulda eliminates Red Rock Central 70 to 32.

College Men Basketball:

Gustavus wins second straight MIAC title with a 124 to 65 win over St Scholastica, North Central ends Martin Luther’s season with a 105 to 87 win and Bethany Luther defeats Mn-Morris 108 to 91.

Women’s Basketball:

Gustavus defeats St Scholastica 68 to 62 and Bethany Lutheran wins the UMAC title with a 72 to 52 win over Mn-Morris.
