Section Boy’s Basketball:

3A- Central Minnesota Christian advances to the section final with a 90 to 64 win over Wabasso. The Blue Jays next opponent will be Hills/Beaver Creek, the Patriots defeat Southwest Minnesota Christian 69 to 48. The section championship is Thursday at 5pm at SMSU.

3AA-Jackson County Central upends Montevideo 77 to 63 to advance to play Morris Area, the Cougars defeat Minnewaska Area 74 to 44. The championship game is Thursday, 8pm at SMSU.

2AAA-Mankato East runs away from New Ulm, picking up an 85 to 45 win, the Cougars will play St Peter, the Saints defeat Marshall 64 to 54. The championship game is Thursday, 7pm at Gustavus.

NCAA Men’s Basketball:

Gustavus advances to the Sweet Sixteen, with a come from behind win over Mary Hardin-Baylor, final score 90 to 72. Gustavus travels to Chicago, to play the Maroons of Chicago, Saturday at 4pm.
