Volleyball:

Mankato East picks up a 3 to 0 section win over New Ulm, Fairmont needed five sets to get past Worthington, as did Mankato west over Belle Plaine, MVL was a 3 to 1 winner over Sleepy Eye, Cleveland picks up a section win over St Mary’s 3 to 1, Tri City United defeats Sibley East 3 to 0, as did LCWM over Waseca and Westbrook/Walnut Grove over Pipestone, Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey defeats MLGHEC/Truman 3 to 1.

Football:

Springfield shuts out RTR 49 to 0, GFW thumps Madelia 62 to 8, Waterville/Elysian/Morristown defeats St Clair/Loyola 32 to 6, Murray County Central was a 28 to 8 winner over BOLD and Adrian/Ellsworth wins a 70 to 38 shoot out over Nicollet.

Section Boy’s Soccer:

2AA-New Ulm upsets the two seed Westonka 3 to 2 and Worthington upsets the one seed Mankato East 4 to 3. Championship is Thursday night in new Prague.

2A-Tri city United moves to the Semi’s with a 12 to nil win over Butterfield-Odin United, Albert Lea was a 6 to 1 winner over Fairmont, St Peter defeats Wings United 3 to 1 and Southwest Minnesota Christian defeats Cannon Falls 4 to 1.

Section Girl’s Soccer:

Mankato East moves to the finals with a 3 to 1 win over Mankato West and St Peter defeats Marshall 4 to 1. Championship is Thursday afternoon in New Prague.

2A-Stewartville edges Tri City United 2 to 1, Fairmont shuts out Wings United 6 to nil as did Albert lea over Loyola Area 5 to nil. Semi-finals are Saturday.
