Seahawks win Super Bowl

(Santa Clara, CA/Minnesota News Network) — The Seattle Seahawks flexed their muscles on defense to win Super Bowl 60. The team silenced the New England Patriots 29-13 in Santa Clara last night. Kenneth Walker had 160 total yards from scrimmage and took home M-V-P honors. Seattle had six sacks including a pick-six in winning the Lombardi Trophy for the first time since 2014 and successfully rectified their mistake against the Pats in a Super Bowl 49 heartbreaker. Drake Maye threw two picks and lost a costly fumble for New England, which was appearing in a league-best 12th Super Bowl. The Patriots missed a chance to move past the Steelers for most titles all-time. Former Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold was 19-for-38 for 202 yards and a touchdown. Minnesota natives Boye Mafe of Hopkins, Nick Kallerup of Wayzata, and Ty Okada of Woodbury were all members of the Seahawks.
