SEAL COATS ON SEVERAL HIGHWAYS IN SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA TO START JULY 21
You should expect delays starting Monday, July 21 as MnDOT crews start to apply a seal coat. The highways impacted include Highway 14/Highway 71 north of Sanborn to Springfield, Highway 15 Madelia to 170th north of Hanska, Highway 30 from Westbrook to Highway 71 east of Jeffers, Highway 60 eastbound from Highway 15 near Madelia to Lake Crystal with multiple temporary one-day ramp closures near Madelia, Highway 99 Nicollet to St. Peter and Highway 169 Blue Earth to Elmore. Traffic will be controlled with flaggers and a pilot car. The sealcoating process for each highway segment will take about a week and then crews will return about a couple of weeks later to paint temporary striping which will be done under traffic. The project is expected to be finished by late August, weather permitting.
