Section Softball/Baseball Results 5/22

Playoff results from softball and baseball.

Section 2A softball:

USC shuts out Springfield 1 to 0, Sleepy Eye edges Cleveland 3 to 1, Cathedral defeats Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey and Nicollet scores five in the sixth to defeat RRC/WWG  9 to 5.

Section 3A softball:

Wabasso deefeats RTR 11 to 1, BOLD was a 4 to 1 winner over Adrian/Ellsworth then Wabasso shuts out BOLD 4 to 0, Murray County Central was a 9 to 4 winner over Tracy/Mil/Bal, Edgerton/SWC was a 15 to 5 winner over Lakeview and Edgerton/SWC was an 8 to 7 winner over Murray County Central. Also advancing to winners braclet LQPV with a 6 to 0 win over MACCRAY and YME was a 2 to 1 winner over BBE,

Section 4A Softball:

GFW defeats Mayer Lutheran 12 to 11, then gets beat West Lutheran 17 to 6, Lester Prairie defeats BLHS 5 to 4 and then BLHS eliminates GFW with an 11 to 1 win.

Section 2AA Softball:

Maple River was a 7 to 3 winner over St Clair/Loyola, Tri City United shuts out Blue Earth 13 to 0, Lesueur/Henderson was a 10 to 0 winner over Waseca and Jordan eliminates Wat/Ely/Mor 7 to 1.

Section 2AAA Softball:

New Ulm wins a pair of games, 10 to 5 over Worthington and 3 to 1 over Mankato West, Mankato East was a 10 to 0 winner over Albert Lea and Worthington stays alive with a 12 to 11 extra inning win over Marshall.

Section 2A Baseball:

Loyola defeats GFW 6 to 3, MVL shuts out Martin County West 10 to 0, Madelia was a10 to 0 winner over Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey, St Mary’s was an 18 to 8 winner over GHECML/Truman, Sleepy Eye eliminates BOLD 6 to 2 and Cleveland was an 8 to 0 winner over Heron Lake/Okabena/Fulda.

Section 2AA Baseball:

LCWM was an 9 to 0 winner over Medford, Belle Plaine defeats St Clair 6 to 1, Tri City United was an 7 to 1 winner over Blue Earth, Triton defeats Waseca 9 to 2 and NRHEG was an 11 to 10 winner over Wat/Ely/Mor.

One regular season final, Sibley East defeats New Ulm 6 to 5.
